Are you struggling with grief? Is your world full of chaos and mental anguish? If so, you are not alone. Marilyn Willis wants to walk with you on the road to restoration and peace of mind. In Restored Moments: A Six-Day Grief Devotional, she shares how to heal from grief and get back on the road of your life. Marilyn divides her book into five sections—each one dealing with one of her Restored principles. Grief affects all of us, but Marilyn walks her readers through the steps to heal from the grief. Marilyn uses the right Scriptures to highlight each step along the way. This book is full of hope and encouragement because it is full of God’s Word. When we realize that we can successfully move past grief, healing can take place.

In Restored Moments, Marilyn Willis divides each chapter into several parts. The first part is the lesson based on Scripture. Then Marilyn gives her personal reflection on the Restored principle discussed in that chapter. After Marilyn’s reflection, she gives a short prayer, the link to music that accompanies the meditation, then finishes each chapter with a workbook for application. Marilyn cleverly ties each chapter together with an illustration of restoring an old chair. Her writing is engaging and entertaining. She keeps the reader’s attention and makes reading this book a joy. The subject is difficult, but Marilyn handles grief with care and compassion. Restored Moments is an easy-to-read book filled with wise words about growing through grief.
