Revisiting the Prophet by Beryl Broekman delivers a message of spiritual awakening and reflection. The author gets her inspiration from The Prophet by Kahlil Gibran. The book covers topics on the energies surrounding us and aims to help us find joy in living a simple life. The author uses common themes of everyday living like work, marriage, love, learning, and many more. We all know the end is inevitable but we should take joy in beautiful moments and be mindful of others. What kind of legacy do you want to leave in this world? The search for more money and possessions will not lead to true happiness. Instead, it will only poison our bodies and minds. But spending time with loved ones, speaking positively, and taking responsibility for your life will help you find a greater purpose. Revisiting the Prophet will guide you on how to rewrite your life story and find inner peace and joy.

Beryl Broekman gives a unique and modern interpretation of Kahlil Gibran's The Prophet. The author also uses a similar beautiful cover for this book and utilizes a casual and calm tone to present her thoughts and opinions on some of his profound quotes. Revisiting the Prophet is a well-written and structured book with a consistent format and inspiring message. Each chapter begins with a quote from The Prophet and is followed by the author's enlightening perspective. Every reader can have their interpretation of the topics, but one thing is for sure, your life will be forever transformed. Many people live without purpose and have lost sight of what is important in life. They have become greedy because they are trying to quench an insatiable hunger for power. What kind of conversation will you have with death when you reach your end? We only have one life to live. Therefore, we can either be selfish and destructive or radiate love and happiness.

Revisiting the Prophet by Beryl Broekman is an unusual look at the wisdom and principles espoused by writer and philosopher Kahlil Gibran as well as new insights Broekman has received energetically and spiritually. The author talks about opening her mind to the energy of the universe and allowing insights to awaken. The reader is invited to read the book with an open mind and allow the healing effects of the words to take place in their heart. There is no requirement to be religious or to have previously read works by either Gibran or Broekman. The book is broken down by topic with deep and complex insights being brought to the surface in an easy-to-understand way. Topics like work, love, joy, connection and even death are touched upon in both subtle and also more obvious ways, allowing the readers to interpret as they please and gain insights beyond what is readily apparent.

Revisiting the Prophet by Beryl Broekman offers a kind and thorough starting point for anyone who is searching for more meaning and understanding in their life, and also for those who may not even know they are searching. The author writes with passion and a commitment to each voice represented in each section. I loved the original way of looking at the topics that are presented in the book and the diversity offered. I love the way that each reader will inevitably walk away with meaningful messages from the book. I appreciate the author’s desire to draw humans toward more kindness, compassion, and joy on the journey of life and beyond.

Revisiting the Prophet by Beryl Broekman is a philosophical book that discusses essential aspects of our daily lives. The brief essays on each topic are very straightforward, making it easy to comprehend the text. What will astonish you is the profound wisdom and knowledge that the author presents. Among the issues that the author discusses is marriage, where she compares love and friendship in marriage. She talks about work, where she chides people who prioritize the money and comfort their jobs offer instead of settling for a job that one is passionate about and loves doing. In addition, she talks about children's upbringing. Beryl informs parents that children are not possessions and that while they are growing, they will gain many experiences and information from strangers, friends, and the world over which their parents have no control.

What I loved about Revisiting the Prophet by Beryl Broekman is her content delivery method. She uses short stories that discuss, explain, and ground the topic of discussion. This simplified her discussions and made my reading experience interesting and enjoyable. I also loved the relevant contemporary issues she discussed. One of the best topics was the one on buying and selling. She talks of the importance of good customer service. She commends salespeople who make their clients feel cherished and valued, even if they're paying for their goods or services. This was the piece of advice that I appreciated, and I would encourage people in business to emulate it. I recommend this book because the contemporary topics and themes touch on things we deal with every day and on a global scale.
