REVivement: Having a Life After Making a Living: An Uplifting Interactive Guide to Invigorate Your Later Years by Gloria Dunn-Violin is a useful tool to all those readers who are looking forward to life after fifty. The author uses the term "revivement" instead of retirement for the latter half of life, and gives insight into new ideas, lifestyles, and research to support revivement. The exercises at the end of the book also support the revivement journey, and they can be done either independently or in a group where everyone can support each other in completing and activating the exercises. All the tips and techniques in the book help one to have a satisfying and fulfilling life.

The author chooses a relevant topic and gives it a new meaning by encouraging readers to reinvent and reinvigorate that phase of their lives, find purpose, meaning, and fulfillment, learn new scientific research and practices for longevity, overcome ageism, and unearth and activate dreams of long ago. The book gives readers who are in the latter phase of life hope and zest to live. The author keeps it simple and her suggestions can be easily practiced and give a new way to live and create the best life possible. Her desire to change the old concept of retiring - which kind of gives the impression of being over and done - to a new and fulfilling concept of revivement, which is to redesign our futures as we revive ourselves and move forward so that we can enjoy our revivement journey, is what makes this book a must-read.
