Rhythm and Blue by DP Denman is more than just a contemporary romance. This is a book about love, support, redemption and growth. You will be pulled in by the vulnerability of the main character, Blue, as well as the strength of the support system in place. Your heart will ache for Blue's struggles and will celebrate the successes. You will be grateful for Brady's love and support, which is completely unwavering and unconditional, despite his having been hurt so many times before. As Blue struggles with success and being recognized, you will struggle alongside. In short, you will be pulled into Rhythm and Blue, you will love these characters and the wonderful, sweet romance. It is such a beautiful love story that the fact that it is a same sex male/male story should not be part of the headline. This is strictly a romance.

DP Denman does an amazing job of weaving a story and developing characters that you can't help but love and want to know more about. I would love to have both Blue and Brady's back story. This would be a lovely series, where I could find out more about these wonderful men. The book is written with the story being primary and the gender of the characters secondary. This is important because many times same sex romances somewhat play up stereotypes, with less emphasis on substance. This book is the exception to the rule, and is so beautifully written. I would confidently recommend Rhythm and Blue to my friends.
