Author Biography

I have been teaching the Word of God since 2000. I have an Associates Degree in Biblical Studies. I am also a licensed ordained minister since 2002 and the founder of Faith Builders Ministries, Inc. I have been married to my husband, Marty Davenport, for twenty-seven years. We have two grown children, Whitney and Dakota, who reside with us in Raymore, Missouri. I have a heart for the imprisoned, those sitting on the pews in the church and those who reside behind the bars of their choices. Our ministry is a world wide ministry caring for those who are lost and in need of a Savor. I have been to Thailand, Abba House, founded by Joyce Moore and her husband David, to help with the on going problem of sex trafficking children, also while I'm there I go inside the prisons to preach the uncompromising Word of God. The greatest gift I have to offer anywhere I travel is my testimony on God's saving grace, because I was made for more and saved for something.

Ripened on the Vine by Lori Michele Davenport has a Christian theme. The book is about the author who was haunted by the images of her father abusing her mother when she was a child. She speaks about how those images distorted and traumatized her vision of life in general for a long time. That was until she realized God is always there to save people and find a solution for their problems. She says that God has a plan for everyone and He will see to it that you are protected in life. The book shows how all the turmoil and difficulties in the author's life strengthened her faith in God and His power.

The story is very uplifting. It is a must-read for those who are undergoing problems. The author takes you through the joys and tragedies of life and how she overcame them, deriving strength from God. This book will give strength to those who are passing through bad phases in their lives by showing them that God will save them from their crises. She uses examples of how she had a terrible past and how the sheer presence of God saved her to give her a brighter future.

Many of the descriptions given by the author are easily understandable. Reading the book can actually be helpful to many women who have been abused and tortured. It gives them the strength to face life in a positive manner. A very uplifting book that will reaffirm your faith in God.
