Author Biography

Mazen Al-ghamdi is a weight training professional who has

CFES certification as a weight training instructor. For the past

several years, he has successfully helped people to lose weight

and get fit. Mazen has a bachelor’s degree in computer

systems, and a master’s degree in business administration.

It seems as if there are so many books out on the market about eating right and losing weight and one can spend (waste!) so much time reading these instead of actually doing something! This is not the case with Mazen Alghamdi's book, "S.M.A.R.T. Steps to a Healthier Life!" Alghamdi's book is practical and user-friendly. Split into 10 chapters, each chapter focuses on an aspect of living a healthier life. Each chapter is further broken down in the table of contents making it very user-friendly as it is easy to find each specific section. The first section discusses goals and what a healthy lifestyle actually is. Next nutrition is addressed, what one should eat and when and what foods and ingredients should be avoided. Exercise is then discussed, with the importance and benefits of exercise complete with diagrams and descriptions to target each part of the body.

This is such a great resource for anyone wanting to live a healthier life! Filled with diagrams, charts and colorful, well-defined paragraphs, this is an excellent guide that can easily be referred to in order to make a decision about what to eat or to try a new exercise. There is an entire 16 week exercise routine/schedule included that can easily be implemented and followed as the steps are broken down and well-described. Filled with tips and advice for eating right and exercising correctly to avoid injuries and getting the most out of a work-out makes this book an invaluable resource!
