A short, delightful read, Scandalous Hoe Fiction by Ashley M. Hardy is a dramatic novel, a story told around a lounge bar in a small town, and an assortment of women. What is in a woman? What is a woman capable of? In this swiftly-paced, delectable read, the author offers surprising answers to these questions and leads readers into the lives of a few women for a two-week period as they interact with each other. Learn about their fears and addictions, their abuse, and the things that make them tick. Here is a book with characters that will enlighten men and characters that many women can relate to.

This novel carries the deep truth that “Every woman wants a piece of this world in her own right. Only she knows the degree of her desires. The uniqueness of her persuasion and its potency, guided by her moral compass, will navigate her through a male dominated world — and onto her level.” The characters are very compelling and carefully crafted, each with her highs and lows — Kay, Harriet, Friday, Banks, Kendra, Candace — and they are fun to hang out with. The story is filled with dramatic moments. Told from the perspective of different characters, the story is absorbing, reflecting an irresistible voice. The scenes are so beautifully crafted, such as when Candace walks in with a gun aimed at Kay. The story is emotionally charged, bringing to light some of the emotions women feel, but are not courageous enough to show. Scandalous Hoe Fiction is deft and balanced, and Ashley M. Hardy has a gift for humor, great dialogue, and character.
