What if someone told you there are angels living among us; would you believe them? In Secret Agent Angel by Ray Sutherland, this is not a mere saying. Samuel is an actual angel living among mortals, disguised as one of them. Over the past decades, Samuel has been sent on various missions all over the world. Each mission involves different people facing a crisis sometimes unknown to them. He helps them discover their strength and faith so they can find their footing on the right path. But what is the bigger picture? What does he hope to accomplish? And will he succeed?

The different stories in Secret Agent Angel by Ray Sutherland will capture your attention and your heart. Each chapter introduces a new mission, which means a new story and new characters, keeping the reading fresh, fun and exciting all the way to the end. I especially loved the fact that Samuel was portrayed in his human guise. It made him more relatable. He is a superhero without a doubt, but it was nice to see that he at times shares the same struggles as human beings, faces moments of doubt and does not always have all the answers. The story left me with a surreal and hopeful belief that everything really happens for a reason. We might not always immediately understand this, and at times it is very hard to imagine what that reason might be. However, one needs to be firm in their belief that God is always in control and steering the wheel of life. As random as life might feel sometimes, there is always a reason and a purpose.
