SEEDS: The Journey Continues is the second installment in The SEEDS Trilogy by Cary Allen Stone. After rescuing Captain Boris Vladovok from the Russian spaceship Red Star 1, the crew of the SEEDS shuttle mourn the loss of their colleagues, Dr. Elan Mason and Commander John Kelly. As they try to mitigate the dangers posed by the unknown virus that caused the loss of lives on Red Star 1, a new threat arises from Mars that causes much distress amongst the team of scientists and researchers at the Base Crater on Titan. While the Chinese on Mars release their rockets on Base Crater, the spread of the virus threatens to eradicate the last remnants of the human race. Dr. Bryan Neumeister must now prepare himself to make the ultimate sacrifice.

Author Cary Allen Stone delivers yet another enthralling sci-fi novel set in the not-too-distant future that showcases the best and worst humanity has to offer. Containing a fast-moving plot filled with unexpected twists and turns, SEEDS: The Journey Continues is a worthy successor to its much-praised predecessor. The narrative hooks you in with its dystopian setting and keeps you glued to the pages with its sense of mystery and suspense till the end. The characters were primarily used as tools to move the plot forward and explore the themes that the narrative is interested in. However, I did find the conflicted personalities of Alex, Brenda, and Bryan compelling. If you're a fan of sci-fi stories that delve into exploring the human condition, I recommend this series.
