I liked Seth. The book and the man. Seth is a man I can understand and relate to. In an age when vigilante justice seems to be something a lot of people relate to, J.B. Morris has created a book and a character that should resonate with many readers. Seth is a decorated Marine who has come home to take care of his ailing father. They only have each other and Seth is a true Marine and a true son; “Always Faithful.” Seth takes a job as a police officer in a small town in Ohio to be close to his dad. This is where the trouble starts. There is no bigger problem in America today than the corruption in our police force, caused by the huge amounts of money that drug cartels throw at cops so that they can go about their illegal business. This is a very real problem and this novel offers one solution.

The plot and situation in Seth are very realistic. The characters are realistic and the good guys are very much people we can relate to. Seth is complicated. His personal life is far from perfect. He is very much a loner. But he doesn't have to be. There are people who see and appreciate his good qualities. The problem is that he has been hurt and betrayed before so he is reluctant to let anyone get to close to him. I can totally understand that. Every reader will understand that. But every reader will also realize that you can’t really go it alone in this life. Every reader will hope that Seth realizes this too. After all, he is one of the good guys.
