Wow. Just, wow. That's exactly what I thought when I finished reading the fantastic new book by author V G Kilgore, Shared Stars. Follow the story of star-crossed lovers Ric and Avi, a couple who met under certainly less than ideal circumstances. She kept him, a foreign exchange student, from being alone and made sure he fitted in at their school. He saved her from a ring of pedophiles. She teaches him about physical love, and he ends up murdering the one who molested her. Tied together through difficulty and love, the two remain committed and in love even through separation. Their love remains steadfast as they fight to prove Ric's innocence. Will they be able to meet their goal and reunite in love? You'll need to read the book to find out.
I loved Shared Stars. Loved. It. How's that for a review? Well, it's definitely how I felt about author V G Kilgore's wonderful new book. The author has done an amazing job in creating characters that her readers will connect with, relate to, and will come to truly care about. If that isn't a hallmark of an excellent author, I'm not sure what is. Any reader, whether young adult or not, who enjoys a wonderful work of romantic fiction, of mystery, or just a great work of fiction in general, will love Shared Stars. I am so pleased to highly recommend this book, and I certainly hope that author V G Kilgore is already hard at work on her next great book, even as we speak!
