“An animal’s eyes have the power to speak a great language” and when you see a dog or any animal that has been badly abused, look deep into their eyes. You will find a soul that wants to be loved and will give love in return. "Shelby’s Grace" is the story of one of these animals, the story of a young Pit Bull with a heart of gold and willingness to love if she can gain the trust of one man who is willing to put his time and trust in her.

Abused, and chained to a fence at a gas station next to a busy highway, she had every right to distrust humans. Her back legs were severely injured. Through the power of love, costly surgeries, and a hope for a better life, Shelby came out on top to become a therapy dog.

Joe Dwyer saved Shelby from evidential death, she, in turn, saved Joe’s life. This story is filled with love. I could feel the love of Shelby and her owner. I suggest readers visit shelters and look at the animals there. They need a home, someone to love them and care for them. In return, they will offer love, companionship, and trust. Excellent book; highly recommended.
