Lori Costew has done it again with another exciting sequel in her series. The characters and plot are well developed and the twists and turns which accompany the action are enough to keep a reader on the edge of their seat. The action and adventures cut across dimensions of time and space, but also dip into the reality of the life of a teen and the inner conflicts and challenges that go along with it. An awesome book standing alone, but a jewel in the set of the series. Exciting, suspenseful, and realistic.

Sherpa’s Adventures - Destroying the Hologram by Lori Costew is a great sci-fi adventure of a young adult girl who goes time traveling. Sherpa is a likable character with whom many girls that age will identify. The new adventure facing Sherpa is well done. The many twists and turns will keep the reader guessing and glued to the pages. The futuristic time travel can take you to places in the past and revisit different times in history and save the world.

Sherpa is introduced to a new character in this book when she has to use time travel to find and destroy a hologram of a very evil man. In the process, she learns that her father may be alive and that she is the only one who can bring him back. Full of excitement, Sherpa goes on a trip to Pineville where, in the first book, she had met two new friends Emma and Jose. The friends had combated a group of bullies planted in the town by General Aveel by creating the Sherpa Kids Clubs. This club helps kids to have friends and combat bulling everywhere.

General Aveel thinks if he places evil in different time periods in past history, that good people will become nonexistent by the time their world has the Great War. The Great War has already happened in the present and Aveel lost. Now he wants another chance through time traveling to the past. He thinks that if good people can’t be found in the present, the war outcome will be in his favor.

Simply put, this is a great well-told story for pre-teens and teens alike. It is clean, wholesome, and entertaining — all the necessary things to make it worthwhile.
