Jackie Morgan had a rough week, and it just got worse; she witnessed the brutal killing of two of her friends. Earlier in the week she discovered she would probably lose her job. Ruth, one of her employees, had messed up an order and didn’t seem to care.

Jackie lived and worked in Hong Kong at Arabesk, a small British company that carried home furnishing products. She took pride in running an efficient office. Her salary was high, and she knew she was worth every penny. The economy was taking its toll on everyone, including Arabesk. The main office was having financial problems and decided the best place to cut expenses was Hong Kong. The board of directors was ready to make a drastic decision: close the Hong Kong office or replace Jackie with someone cheaper.

Jackie found herself both attracted and repelled by tall, handsome Anthony Ryder, the Managing Director of Silver Service. Jackie suspected he was trying to steal her customers. After she witnessed the crime, she found she must trust Anthony.

Sins of Our Sisters was written by Valerie Goldsilk. Ms. Goldsilk lives in Hong Kong and brings her experiences with the culture to this tale. This book has it all: intrigue, romance, danger, thrills and action. Jackie is a strong female lead. She and Anthony work well together. Master Wong is easy to dislike and distrust. Ruth casts a shadow upon herself throughout the tale. I found the culture fascinating. Ms. Goldsilk has penned several other books of the same genre.
