Author Biography

Linda Poitevin is the award-winning author of contemporary romance and kick-ass dark urban fantasy. Possessor of a warped sense of humor, she believes in giving equal time to both the creation and destruction of worlds--sometimes in the same book. When she’s not plotting the humanity's downfall or the next great love story, she’s a wife, mom, friend, coffee snob, gardener, walker of a Giant Dog, minion to an itty bitty kitty, and an avid food preserver (you know...just in case that whole Zombie Apocalypse thing really happens).

Sins of the Warrior (The Grigori Legacy Book 4) by Linda Poitevin is a blend of science fiction, fantasy, and the supernatural. Sins of the Warrior is a book and series that will appeal most to an audience made up of a mix of young adults and adults who enjoy reading and watching supernatural and paranormal fiction. The story begins with a prologue about Emmanuelle and Mika'el; specifically Emmanuelle’s decision to leave and Mika'el’s decision to stay. From there, Sins of the Warrior jumps straight into the story, plunging the reader right into the action with Alexandra Jarvis, Seth, the Naphil, and other characters.

Sins of the Warrior reminded me a bit of a mix of the TV show Supernatural and a cop show like Blue Bloods or NCIS. The main character, Alexandra Jarvis, is a homicide detective while others are angels and demons. I did find the book a little confusing at first because I had not read books one to three, but I quickly got a good grasp of the story. I personally would recommend that readers start with the previous books in the Grigori Legacy series. That said, Sins of the Warrior (The Grigori Legacy Book 4) by Linda Poitevin is a well written book with a steady plot line, chapter cliffhangers, well developed characters, dialogue that flowed smoothly, and good attention to detail.
