Charlie Huston's Skinner is a specialized tool to the CIA. His job is to guard assets..people who are valued by a worth based on their impact on "the market." He has killed many in the line of his work and there are many more who unknowingly stand in his path. His current asset, Jae, a scientist specializing in robotic espionage, might just be his unraveling. They find themselves in the most dangerous place either have known when they are hurled into the path of a terrorist plot that might just be the end of the world. When a young boy, Raj, becomes part of the equation, they must do whatever it takes to save him from certain death.

I was deeply engrossed in this book and am so glad it was in audio form because I would have got absolutely nothing accomplished until I reached the back cover. Disturbingly true to current world events, Skinner by Charlie Huston heightened my awareness of international news. Mr. Huston's writing style is one that is fast paced, edge of your chair (or driver's seat as it were). The characters are easily imagined and quickly liked or hated. Geographical descriptions are clear enough to be standing right there in the heat (literally) of the scene, and landmarks as real as it gets. Any person who loves the suspenseful terrorism type of fiction novel is going to want this for their personal library. I guarantee that a road trip will be over before you know it if you pop this in the player!
