CJ Hitz has compiled a collection of tips, recipes and information that is a necessity for anyone who is a runner in his book, "Smoothies for Runners: 32 Proven Smoothie Recipes to Take Your Running Performance to the Next Level, Decrease Your Recovery Time and Allow You to Run Injury-free." The book begins with a brief introduction to and discussion of smoothies. Then this leads into a discussion of the benefits of specific ingredients in smoothies along with tips for making the smoothies including what equipment one should have. The rest of the book is filled with all kinds of smoothie recipes split into sections for when to drink them and the different types.

I really enjoyed this book and it is one that I will refer to often! This is filled with so much good, useful information about the health benefits of smoothies and the ingredients discussed that it will be referred to often by anyone preparing for a race or running for fun. I love the variety of recipes that are included in this book. There is really something for anyone and everyone as the recipes include a wide range of ingredients, from collards and Swiss chard to cocoa powder and even spices to make a "Christmasy" smoothie! I encourage every reader to read every single page in this book as you do not want to miss out on any of the information included as it is all so useful and beneficial.
