Sparrow by Sara Mack is a contemporary romance. Addison met Kyle when he was seventeen. Kyle immediately fell in love because Addison was so much more confident, outgoing, and beautiful (inside and out) than any other person he'd ever met. So he was incredibly disappointed when she disappeared without a warning. He'd thought they had a chance for a future, but decided it wasn't meant to be. Until eight years later when he meets her again. He can tell that life has been difficult for her, but he sees flashes of the spunky, feisty girl he fell in love with. The problem is that now, over the last eight years, life has happened. How are Kyle and Addison meant to be together if there is so much in their lives pulling them apart? But if there is one thing Kyle knows, it is that anything can happen in a single moment and change the course of the rest of a person's life with one simple decision. And he hopes Addison makes the right one.

I liked that this story was told completely from the male's POV which isn't something you see every day, especially in the romance genre. I found this very refreshing and an interesting twist on the way the story was told. It is a sweet romance that draws you into a real world with characters that are flawed and not perfect, but comfortable in who they are and the decisions that they've made. It is about second chances and reconnections and I really thought that was well done. Nice job.
