Dr. David Siroospour, MD, FACS shares his experience with chronic back pain and surgery. DR. Siroospour was a dedicated surgeon. In the middle of an operation he began having muscle spasms in his hands. He, like most American surgeons though surgery would fix it. One surgery led to another. He was forced to give up his lucrative practice. The pain continued. He sought other traditional treatments but nothing relieved his pain. Eventually he turned to alternative medicine. He now questions whether he should have ever had surgery.

Dr. Siroospour writes from the heart and from experience. It is his hope he may spare someone from having unnecessary surgery. His pain is obviously incredible. I was a bit concerned when I first began reading this book. I have had 4 spinal surgeries. I thank God for leading me to a cautious, competent surgeon. I had unstable vertebra and a growth in my spine. I was barely able to walk at times. I am almost pain free. I do know there are times when surgery is necessary. I was glad to see the Dr. reinforce this point toward the end of the book. I also believe he is correct that not all surgeries are necessary.

The Dr. writes in a conversational style. He is careful not to talk over the head of laymen. This book is easy to recommend. Read this book before you say yes to spinal surgery.
