Storm Crashers by Richard Wickliffe is an exciting thriller that fuses several branches of the military and the FBI. They are trying to apprehend an elite group of AWOL soldiers. The government agencies' agenda is to bring an end to the soldiers' unique modus operandi that operates during storms before they become known as terrorists on American soil. A category four hurricane is approaching the coast of Florida, and a wealthy single mother, Alexandra, has cloistered herself and her daughter, Cassie, in their mansion to wait out the storm.

With an evacuation in effect and the hurricane minutes away, a group of uniformed men invades her home and begins removing all the valuable items within it. Locking Cassie in their storm-enforced room, Alexandra chases the intruders off her property, and shoots and kills one of their members. Now under arrest for murder, Alexandra's only hope for freedom comes from an ambulance chasing lawyer, a rookie female cop, and an insurance investigator. They are the only ones that believe Alexandra's story of an elite group of soldiers invading her home, but with the lack of evidence how can they prove it? With the military and the FBI breathing down their necks, who will believe them if they do produce the proof, considering all of their dubious backgrounds?

Storm Crashers by Richard Wickliffe is a sensational thriller that kept me on the edge of my seat from the very first page. I was captivated and could not put the book down. It is an action-packed adventure that gains intensity as the story unfolds to an explosive finale. It is as exciting as a James Rollins or a Michael Crichton novel, and I highly recommend it to their fans. It will not disappoint. I believe it will make a spectacular movie and I am hoping to see it on the big screen soon. For those who love an outstanding suspense/thriller, you will want to read this novel; you will not regret it.
