Strengthen The Mind by S. Jones Marshall is a beautiful collection of poetic thoughts in the form of adages. Marshall covers a wide spectrum of ideas and concepts in the form of a couple of verses to express his motivational poetry that leaves a lot to ponder about. A traumatic brain injury survivor, Marshall's inspirational book of adages portrays the resilient spirit of human beings and encourages readers not to abandon hope even in the darkest of times. It also delves into the true meaning of some of the most important aspects that define the lives of human beings. According to Marshall, your creativity is special regardless of what purpose it's meant for. If you're aspiring for inner peace, meditate. Sometimes, it's necessary to let the mind wander to tap into your creative spark.

Strengthen The Mind is one of those books that everyone should have on their coffee table. S. Jones Marshall's collection of adages can be read anytime and anywhere, whether you're feeling a bit lost or seeking a spark of inspiration in your endeavors. Due to the universal themes explored in the book, people from all walks of life or any age, ethnicity, or gender will find something to relate to. Marshall writes in an easily accessible minimalistic style, using simple words in a way that provides deeper meaning to the respective concepts. I enjoyed them all but found "Being", "Creativity", and "Longing" to be my personal favorites of the bunch. If you're searching for something inspirational, grab a copy of Strengthen The Mind.
