Tales Untold by D.B. Carter, Janie Kang, Jessica Hopson, et al. is a scavenger hunt for all your favorite myths and legends. From the well-known to the virtually unknown, this book takes a look at chilling tales from different cultures. It will transport you to different magical and sometimes downright scary places. From fairy circles to magic feathers and siren songs, these stories are filled with magic. Some highlights include the artistic inspired ‘Canvas of Light and Dark’ where dark magic meets art. Then a fairy circle in ‘Never Trust a Fae’ with a classic twist ending that will leave you breathless. One of my personal favorites is ‘Syren’s Song’ by Chaz Beebe with a different take on a siren, those mischievous creatures of myth. In it, young Sam has the ability to use her voice as a weapon but can also use it to create a utopia in a village where songs are banned. With a wonderful selection of stories, you are bound to find a favorite. There are so many to fall in love with. This book dares you to take a look.

Tales Untold by D.B. Carter, Janie Kang, Jessica Hopson, et al. was a thrilling experience for me. I loved that all the stories came from different cultures and used even well-known myths and legends. One of my personal favorites was 'A Final Cut' where a barber must cut the hair of a corpse to keep a restless spirit at bay. In this story, one finds almost every myth, the ghostly hand, the booming voices, and the throwing around of things. It was a classic horror spectacular. I loved that each writer gave their own take on a story as old as time itself, bringing back to life stories that may be lost to a new generation. I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves the tales of days gone by.
