Anyone who knows me, knows that I am a HUGE, HUGE, HUGE Amish lover. Books, quilts, food, dolls, you name the Amish thing, and I'm right there with bells on to tell you that I have it. Anyone who knows me also knows that I do NOT pass up the chance to review a new Amish novel, no matter what it is. I was super stoked to have had the chance to review this new novel from Mindy Starns Clark and Leslie Gould. I was so pleased with it! It definitely did NOT disappoint!

In The Amish Midwife, these wonderful authors bring us mystery and love, all rolled into one fantastic novel. Lexie is uncertain about her past....there's something that's always been missing. So when her adopted father is on his death bed, Lexie learns of secrets from long ago, when her dad tells her of the box her biological grandma sent her. Forced between leaving the only home that she has ever known in Oregon as a midwife and hunting down answers to her questions, Lexie sets off for Pennsylvania's Amish county to unlock the key to secrets long ago buried.

These are complex characters and drama-driven plot lines. Trusting in God and putting all your faith in Him is a key message throughout this compelling and mind blowing new series from two wonderful ladies. To give this novel anything less than a 5-star review would be wrong. I HIGHLY recommend it with flying colors! Wonderful job, ladies!
