I must admit that though I read a lot on a wide ranging variety of topics, I had never heard of antifragility, Nassim Nicholas Taleb, or even Sinan Si Alhir, the author of The Antifragility Edge: Antifragility in Practice. But I had read Sun Tzu’s The Art of War. I am a big fan of it and I wondered how antifragility theory related to this classical masterpiece. By the time I had finished chapter one, I knew the answer to this question. I was also a fan of Sinan Si Alhir and this book. The Antifragility Edge is a treatise on how to implement elements of stability and order into a very chaotic world. Leaders and anyone else concerned with maintaining any kind of complex organization can learn a lot by reading and studying this book. After that, it is a matter of how to put what you learn into practice. Don’t worry, Sinan Si Alhir tells you exactly how to do that.

The Antifragility Edge is very well written. It is laid out in a clear and logical manner that is easy to read and understand, even though the principles explained are very complex. This is theory. This is meta-data. But Sinan Si Alhir explains it in a way that can be used in your life, as well as in your business. It is rich in detail, with good examples of how the theory can be used in practice. Just knowing about antifragility will be helpful, but learning how to combat fragility will be essential for people able to use this knowledge for the betterment of their lives and businesses.
