When her sister and father plunged to their deaths, Lily Sanders and her mother quickly move to the city of Bristol. Twenty-four years later, when Lily's mother dies, she is shocked to learn that her mother still owned the estate and left it to Lily in her will. Traveling to the village of Lostmor, Lily returns to prepare the property to sell. As she starts cleaning the house, chilling memories surface, and questions about that dreadful night haunt her. Were her father's and sister's deaths an accident? Or was something more sinister behind them?

Set in Cornwall, The Aviculturist by Ann Smythe is a scintillating suspense novel. With fascinating ups and downs and twists and turns, the intriguing plot kept me on the edge of my seat. From the moment I started reading, I was glued to my tablet until I reached the final page. The fascinating characters, including the antagonists, keep the intrigue and suspense alive as they each confront their pasts.
