The Battle Continues: Abigail and Her King by Mary E. Laders is a follow-on from Escape From Doubting Castle. Abigail has finally escaped and it's now down to her to lead her followers to safety. Beelzebub knows he has little time and, as Abigail and her friends battle through his demonic forces, he becomes more determined to keep the truth hidden away. The Faithful Few, led by Abigail, are more than determined to spread their message of hope and so they continue, fighting with a weapon that is powerful. The demons are trembling with fear. Can Abigail and her crew win the day?

The Battle Continues: Abigail and her King by Mary E. Laders is the second in a series. I read the first one and this was the perfect continuation. There is no letup in the adventure as Abigail and her band of followers fight on and, once again, Ms. Laders has produced a perfectly written story, full of exciting action that romps to a conclusion. It leaves me wondering, dare I say hoping, for a third installment to this amazing children’s story. This book is split nicely into three distinct parts with some great illustrations at the start of each part. Once again, this book is written in a way that allows you to identify with the characters, to live the action with them and to feel their every emotion. Fabulous story, and if there is another installment then I look forward to reading it.
