The Beauty in Ms. White is a psychological thriller novella written by C.O.B. After being forced to leave the cozy downtown Philadelphia apartment he had lived in for years, store manager and aspiring writer Carlos Castillo reluctantly moves to a new apartment building. Struggling with writer's block as well as loneliness, Carlos also carries the baggage of witnessing the death of his former friend, who passed away due to a drug overdose. However, when he sets eyes upon his mysterious and beautiful next-door neighbor, Ms. White, Carlos finds himself infused with a new lease on life. Be it her piano playing skills or her magnetic beauty, Carlos becomes increasingly infatuated with her, to the point that he fantasizes about her each moment of the day. Can he come to grips with reality?
Psycho meets The Boy Next Door. Filled with suspense and intrigue, The Beauty in Ms. White follows a troubled young man who becomes increasingly unhinged after he discovers the subject of his obsession. Author C.O.B. infuses a sense of dread and tension into the narrative that keeps your eyes glued to the pages. The author puts you in the headspace of a deranged stalker as you find yourself privy to the antagonist's every thought and action. The plot is crisp and concise, moving at a brisk pace in ways that you never see coming. Carlos is a delusional and vile human being, yet you can't help but be captivated by him. If you're itching for a gripping psychological thriller, I highly recommend The Beauty in Ms. White.
