A man must fight for his life and face his worst fears while uncovering ancient artifacts that can change the course of humankind in the thrilling action novel, The Bermuda Connection (A Nick Randall Novel Book Two) by Robert Rapoza. Dr. Nick Randall's life has just begun to feel normal after a harrowing experience with an otherworldly race hidden deep in the Peruvian jungle. Plagued with disturbing, mind-numbing nightmares, Nick is at his wit's end and desperate for sleep. When he is suddenly attacked and forced to run, Nick has to hide, only receiving enough information to know that he is the target of an insane industrialist bent on revenge. Off the grid in Bermuda, Nick approaches the woman that shares a psychic link with him, and is the subject of his nightmares. Together they decide to investigate a hypothesis of Nick's based on his experiences in Peru. With the assistance of a longtime professor friend, the three start hunting for signs of otherworldly beings. What they find is chilling and improbable.

Meanwhile, Nick's son, John, is in trouble. His lab partner has gone missing, and John narrowly escapes becoming one of the disappeared. With the military trying to apprehend him and threatening his life, John decides to drop off the radar. Confident that his sister Sam will have the answers he needs, John meets with her. Drawing Sam into the intrigue, John explains that he and his partner created a drug that isolates traumas, but that they inadvertently created a mind-control drug. Concerned that the military would use the drug as a weapon, John and his partner Jacob had started working on an antidote, only Jacob disappeared before they were able to test it properly. Discovering information from Sam that ties into John's experiments, the concerned siblings begin to hunt for their missing father. Will Sam and John find Nick? If they do, can they save Nick and Jacob before it is too late?

Dirk Pitt meets Jason Bourne in the award-winning action-adventure novel, The Bermuda Connection by Robert Rapoza. For fans of The Ruins, this sequel will not disappoint! Ripe with action, exotic locations, and tough, die-hard characters, this book will take you on a thrilling ride, from page one all the way to the end. As a fan of supernatural and sci-fi genres, I detected delightful hints of The X-Files and Independence Day, rendering me unable to put this book down. I could tell that the author had studied his subject before writing, which allowed me to enjoy the story further. With one beautifully crafted action scene after the next, this book does not give readers time to feel bored - or sleepy! I don't suggest starting this novel at bedtime. This multi-award winning novel is rich in ancient history and mystical languages, filled with military paraphernalia and fascinating locations; this story has something compelling for everyone. I would highly recommend this book to fans of Michael Crichton's Jurassic Park series, Clive Cussler's Dirk Pitt novels, and Robert Ludlum's Jason Bourne series.

The Bermuda Connection: The Nick Randall Series, Book 2 is an action and adventure thriller written by Robert Rapoza. The dreams had started shortly after his return from Peru, where he and his daughter, Sam, had discovered the lost city of Vilcabamba only to see its mysteries destroyed forever by a volcanic eruption. He kept on dreaming that he was a woman, alone in her apartment, whose nighttime sleep was interrupted by first a sense of something being in the room with her; then that sense growing into a shadow in the corner of her room and, inevitably, morphing horribly into an alien creature that seemed to examine her with chilling and dispassionate interest. Nick’s friend, Peter, noticed that his friend was obviously sleeping poorly and made a point of calling Nick’s son to alert him to the fact, but when John went to visit his dad, he found the front door ajar and a pervading sense of danger in the empty house. When he answered his phone, John heard Nick urgently telling him to get out of the house. Nick had made a powerful enemy during his Peruvian expedition; one who would stop at nothing for revenge.

Robert Rapoza’s action and adventure thriller, The Bermuda Connection, is a fast-paced and enthralling novel that’s guaranteed to keep adrenaline junkies happily reading on till the very end. While it’s the second book in his Nick Randall Series, Rapoza gives the new reader enough background information to enjoy this book on its own. That said, the author made it pretty much impossible for me to resist planning on going back and reading the first book in the series, The Ruins: A Nick Randall Novel. Rapoza’s plot is well-crafted and plausible, and his characters are credible and finely honed, especially archaeologist Nick Randall and the enigmatic Australian giant, Michael Thompson. I loved the blend of archaeology, adventure and travel that makes this book stand out from so many thrillers and had a grand time reading it. The Bermuda Connection: The Nick Randall Series, Book 2 is most highly recommended.

The Bermuda Connection: A Nick Randall Novel by Robert Rapoza is the second entry in a compelling, action-packed series that also reads as a standalone novel. A mysterious woman on an island, a drug that could erase traumatic memories, and assassins on the loose are just a few of the elements that are melded together to drive this riveting tale. The story starts with a creepy moment captured in vivid detail, and it moves quickly into action that will enthrall the reader. Nick Randall has just returned from a trip to the jungles of Peru, searching for the lost city of Vilcabamba, attracted by the odd physical aspects of a tribe and its otherworldly inhabitants. He is plagued by terrible nightmares and he is determined to find out why he has such terrible dreams and why always of the same woman. Meanwhile, Randall’s son, John, has just made a revolutionary discovery in science, creating a drug that could erase traumatic memories. But it has a side effect they never noticed in non-humans: it makes victims susceptible to suggestion and easy to manipulate. The disappearance of his research partner sets John on a search fraught with danger and enemies seeking to get ahead of him. But what does this have to do with a mysterious woman on the island of Bermuda?

Robert Rapoza melds elements of sci-fi and mystery to create a work of great entertainment for readers. What caught my attention from the very beginning was the excellence of the prose and how the author communicates the sense of mystery through the writing, crafting an atmosphere that is as intriguing as it is sinister. The characters are real and multi-dimensional and it is interesting how they evolve through the conflict and the international setting across Peru to New Mexico to Tibet to Antarctica and Bermuda. The conflict escalates with a powerful threat from the Chinese military and an irrational industrialist. The suspense in The Bermuda Connection grows stronger with a riddle to solve while the clock is ticking. Robert Rapoza is a great storyteller, making the novel balanced, gripping, and utterly thrilling.
