Shell Phelps succinctly describes the challenges people experience throughout their lives and how our emotional reactions to these are normal and to be expected. Phelps gently guides the reader to deal with difficult emotions and develop more worthwhile responses. She gives practical steps that you can implement immediately and practice daily to help you get the most out of life. The book depicts life as a beautiful journey that we can all enjoy regardless of circumstances.
After reading The Big Bliss Blueprint, I felt motivated and positive about my life and ready to take on the world. I could relate to many of the emotions that Shell Phelps describes in this book. I especially enjoyed the parts where Phelps reflects on her own experiences as it clearly shows that Phelps wrote this book not only based on her professional knowledge as a counselor. I became more forgiving of myself. The structure and flow of the book make it enjoyable to read. Each chapter starts with a problem, followed by a list of strategies on dealing with the challenge, and concludes with an activity that you can practice daily to help you implement those strategies to live blissfully. I would recommend this book to anyone at any stage of their life.
