The Chester County Boys is a country western band. They are 'has beens', playing at the same bar for the past 15 years, in Lubbock, Texas. Merle and Cletus are two brothers that are wannabe Elvis’. Quaid is the fiddle player, Randy is the drummer, and Jack is the key board player.

Carly was running away from a bad relationship. She ended up in Lubbock Texas waiting tables in the same bar where the band is playing. For years she has been searching for a man, Shine. She joined the band as a singer. The band realizes Carly is their ticket to success. Murder and music will take the reader from Lubbock to Nashville.

I really enjoyed this book. I let the dishes wait while I read this story. I was eager to see what would happen next and it has a surprise ending. Mitchell has a talent for character development. Well done.
