The title The Crazy Life of a Kid from Brooklyn says it all; Bill Morgenstein has a full and fascinating life and probably is still cooking up some new adventure. Every week, every month, every year there was a new adventure and all in the name of business. Mr. Morgenstein was in the shoe business, not just selling in the local shoe stores, although that is where he started, but he swiftly made a name for himself. He was the one that went to the factories in the States and overseas - Spain, Germany, Brazil, Holland and Italy - to bring the new styles to the companies that would sell to the stores or sell the new styles in their own shops. The book starts with him as a child growing up in Brooklyn and progresses to World War 2 and joining the military. The shoe sales part of his life is after World War 2. His story and all the amazing things he does will give you a look at society before and after the war. It will amaze you.

I wish we could do business like they used to; it was so fun and creative! Nowadays businesses are bogged down with so many regulations and taxes that they do not have time to be creative. Reading this book is a buckle up and hang on situation, because you are about to get on the craziest ride in the amusement park. I couldn’t believe all the pranks Bill got away with, pranks done to officers and bosses, but everyone loved Bill. Bill is this personable guy that can talk to anyone, and the celebrities and important dignitaries he mentions that he meets borders on outrageous. It is fantastic! The places he goes and the things he does are incredible. He does and says all the things we would like to do and say but would never be that bold - but he never forgets to be polite. When you are talking about people, places and things, Bill’s life is full of all of them.

Below is the latest review of my book in amazon.com:

"A fantastic book! Definite must read. This book takes the reader through a window of time and gives them a glimpse of life in a by-gone era. It shows a stark difference in how things operated on a social and societal level in an era not too long ago. Bill takes the reader through a journey of his life full of crazy antics and wild, hilarious adventures. His book reminds one of the movie "The Christmas Story" which happens to be one of my favorites. I have laughed out loud so many times reading this fun and wholesome biographical glimpse into Bill's life. I would highly recommend this book. You will most definitely step back in time and have Bill whisk you from one adventure to the next. Never a dull moment!"
