There have been many books written on Islam, so why another one? This book offers so much on Islam and its valuable information is the reason author Erwin Lutzer writes another Islam book. Dr. Samuel Naaman of Moody Bible Institute, who was born in Pakistan to Muslim parents, says this: “'The Cross in the Shadow of the Crescent' is highly informative, eye-opening, and alarming. Yet it is so full of great biblical hope for the church and for the transformation of Muslims from Islam to Christianity.” You will come to appreciate this book as you read the accounts the author includes in his book about Islam’s treatment of Christians in the past as well as how Christians are treated by Islam now.

I don’t know a lot about the Muslim faith, but reading this book gave me an amazing insight into the Islamic world. Mr. Lutzer has researched the Bible and as he talks about the Muslim life adding the current situations and developments, he backs up what he teaches with scripture. He explains how Islam’s influence affects each of us, as well as what the church should be doing now in response to them. If you are interested in reading about Islam, this book is a great one to read. For me, Mr. Lutzer knows and understands this subject so well that he can explain what is going on in this part of our world in an amazing and unique way. Even though the topics are serious, you will find that the author’s writing ability will keep you interested and even absorbed in what he is saying. I found myself enjoying this book very much. I highly recommend this to anyone and everyone. It is a subject that we all should be more aware of. And Erwin W. Lutzer is the man to teach us. This would make an awesome Bible study too!
