The Dark Ark is a work of fiction in the political drama, conspiracy thriller, and suspense sub-genres, and was penned by author John Leifer. The work is intended for an adult reading audience owing to its complex themes and contains a fast-paced narrative with plenty of tension and interesting dynamics that create a deeper pause for thought beyond the book itself. Our story begins when chaos descends after a ship known as the Dark Ark happens upon some terrifying discoveries at the same time as a terrible catastrophe threatens civilization on land. What results is a very involved and engrossing thriller tale that is sure to keep readers entertained from start to finish.
Author John Leifer has crafted a superb work of thriller fiction with plenty of suspense, military action, and a tense conspiracy plot to offer readers. One of the features which I found particularly impressive about this piece was its sense of timing, which helps the plot to play out in a logical order with plenty of detail, but also switching between events to keep readers interested and tensions high. The story favors plot over character, but it also has some very poignant moments with its cast that strike an emotive chord as to the real dread of the situation. The dialogue was also very effective, serving to display the unique traits of the major players in the situation, whilst moving the plot forward in a natural exposition format. Overall, I would highly recommend The Dark Ark to fans of political fiction, engrossing dramas, and fans of accomplished writing everywhere.
