Her favorite characters in her works include dark, dangerous and tortured heroes, and feisty, independent heroines who know how to wield a sword. She loves writing 14th century medievals, and is known for her medieval series.

Elizabeth started out over twenty years ago as a traditionally published author. But life takes it twists and turns and after losing her day job she decided to try her hand at Indie publishing.

She started self-publishing, creating her own covers and her own booktrailers on a dare from her two sons and has accomplished great feats in the last few years. She loves anything paranormal and is inspired by spending time in nature. Elizabeth has a secret garden that serves as her outdoor office where she writes in the summer. This same secret garden inspired her latest series, Secrets of the Heart, and is the setting of these books.

The Dragon and the Dreamwalker by Elizabeth Rose is a paranormal historical romance. The dragon Dracus has terrorized the village of Lornoon for a long time. And each time he rises from the watery depths of the sea, he claims the life of a village virgin. When Brynn sacrifices her virtue to avoid being the dragon’s snack, her plan backfires when the man who deflowers her gives her up to the dragon anyway. Enter Drake of Dunsbard, the only man to stand up to the dragon and steal his prize from the sacrificial pole. Drake has searched for the woman said to be able to help him destroy the dragon he’s been hunting. Brynn is of fae descent and has the power of fire and dreamwalking.

Elizabeth Rose creates an intriguing world with some interesting myths to go with it. Lovers of dragons and fae will enjoy The Dragon and the Dreamwalker. There are many lessons to be learned in this story. One of the really hard-hitting ones is the keeping of secrets. Brynn had this secret she couldn’t avoid and it hovered over her like a dark cloud, always ready to destroy her fragile happiness. Secrets and lies really leave someone vulnerable to all kinds of misery. There was also the hero’s battle to overcome his anger. It is clear from the start that there can be no happy ending without Brynn and Drake working out their inner demons first. The plot is solid and sets up a good foundation for the next story in this series.
