The Dragon and the Unicorn: The Magic of Friendship by Charly Froh is a delightful children’s picture book about a mystical dragon and a unicorn. Beautifully illustrated by Zusana Svobodova, Dan the dragon and Fran the unicorn lived in the Emerald Kingdom, home of magical creatures. In this fascinating place, the dragons lived in Cloud City while the unicorns lived in Sparkle Land. They never met, because the magnificent Marbled Mountain separated their homes. Dan is intelligent, can breathe fire and fly, and couldn’t ask for anything more. Fran can trot and gallop, is equally smart, and is a contented unicorn. One day a blizzard struck the Emerald Kingdom and carried off everything in its path, and the two ended up with each other but far away from their homes. They eventually became friends and decided to work together so that they could go back to their beloved homes in the Emerald Kingdom.

Charly Froh’s The Dragon and the Unicorn: The Magic of Friendship stars enchanting characters and delivers a loving message about friendship. The author brings us an entertaining, sweetly-illustrated tale that both parents and kids should enjoy. Witty and fun, this lovely picture book is a must for fans of dragons, unicorns, and smart protagonists. It’s about making friends, and the lengths they will go to make each other happy. It’s also about magic and imagination. Reading this book makes one feel like a child again, believing in a magical world. Filled with a subtle sense of humor, this is a fantastic book to read before bedtime. The story follows the adventures of Dan and Fran and shows the magic of friendship so we can appreciate this special bond even more.

Are you ready to meet two fantastic friends? We are in the Emerald Kingdom, where amazing creatures like dragons and unicorns live. Dragons live in Cloud City, while unicorns live in Sparkle Land, but they usually never meet. One day, due to a storm, two of these creatures find themselves far from home together. Their names are Dan the Dragon and Fran the Unicorn, and if they want to go home, it will be better if they start working together. Will they be able to see Cloud City and Sparkle Land again? Follow Dan and Fran in this beautiful story of friendship that you can read in Charly Froh's amazing book The Dragon and the Unicorn: The Magic of Friendship.

When I find children's books as wonderful as The Dragon and the Unicorn, I always think how our young readers are lucky. Charly Froh tells them a magical and beautiful story and shows them how friendship can form between two creatures as different as a dragon and a unicorn. The adventures of Dan and Fran are fun and delightful to read and watch, thanks to the many beautiful illustrations. In addition to these remarkable features, the dragon and unicorn are two adorable characters with whom young readers will enjoy spending time. I hope there will be many more of Dan and Fran's stories to read, but in the meantime, I recommend this one with the certainty that it will be the perfect companion for all children.

There is an old saying that opposites attract. This truism is wonderfully illustrated in The Dragon and the Unicorn: The Magic of Friendship by Charly Froh. Young children tend to be self-centered and self-reliant, and parents need to teach their children the importance of building strong friendships. Charly wrote this book to help parents teach about friendships and how true friends help each other. Dan lives in Cloud City with the other fiery dragons, while Fran lives on the other side of Marble Mountain in Sparkle City with the other magical unicorns. The two types of creatures never meet because of the mountain which separates them. However, one day a powerful blizzard blows Fran and Dan away from their homes, and they finally land near each other. Can two different types of animals become friends? How will they react to each other?

Often, children think they have everything they need and don’t require help from anyone else. Unfortunately, sometimes it takes a traumatic event to shake children out of their complacency. That event was an intense blizzard for Fran and Dan in The Dragon and the Unicorn by Charly Froh. When the two strangers first see each other, they think that they don’t need the other’s help. Read this book to learn what happened to change their minds. Illustrator Zuzana Svobodová's drawings are wonderful. Children will enjoy this book and learn how to develop friendships. Be sure to read with your child and use what happens to explain why being nice to others is so important. Teach your children that accepting differences is important, as friendships are based on similarities while acknowledging the differences.
