The Emotional Suitcase: This Time, Let God Do The Packing! by author and teacher Marc McFadden is a well written biblical counseling study manual. This is a must-read for Christians everywhere who desire a closer relationship with Christ and for those seeking to learn how to better handle their emotions. Written to help readers overcome the negative emotions we all struggle with, including depression and bitterness, McFadden describes how biblical tools like praise and worship, scripture, joint prayer with others, and forgiveness can help people overcome their negative emotions. Examples of how these time honored biblical principles can be applied to real life situations are provided, teaching Christians to become "overcomers" and to walk in faith and by the power of the Holy Spirit.

The Emotional Suitcase is filled with compelling scripture verses that are thought provoking and relevant to the subject matter. Tips for living emotionally healthy lives are also provided. McFadden expertly weaves together Bible verses with examples from his own life, as well as biblical figures including King David, Peter, Jesus, Judas and even Satan as illustrations to educate and inspire the reader. This biblical counseling and self-help manual is expertly written and is a tremendous read both timely and relevant for today’s Christians. I highly recommend it!
