The Export's Revenge by J.K. Kelly is a thriller that will take readers on a roller coaster ride of a lifetime. Matt was in Thailand when his sister was killed most brutally, and now he was thirsty for revenge. Matt was ready to do whatever it took to find her killer and avenge her. But it was not going to be easy, and he would need help. Francesca could help him, but she had her motives. Things became even more complicated when an old enemy from the past came back to visit him. However, that was the least of his worries. Matt had a lot on his plate, and he knew he could not trust anyone around him. But he was not scared, not this time. Revenge was burning through his veins, and he was ready to do whatever it took to bring justice to his deceased sister. What would Matt do? Would he cross lines, or were the lines blurred forever?

Murder and intrigue are the most prominent themes running through The Export's Revenge. The action never stopped once in the story, making it even more interesting for me. Each character added more to the story and furthered the plot. Francesca was a very intriguing character. She made it clear to Matt that she was not helping him out of the goodness of her heart, but Matt knew he needed her if he ever wanted to catch his sister's killer. J.K. Kelly consistently provided twists and turns, ensuring the reader was glued to the story from the very beginning and ready to spend all night reading until the end. The action was provided in heavy doses, and each segment was blood-chilling. I enjoyed how naturally the story followed, how descriptive the narrative became, and how well Matt's character developed. The ending was solid, the climax was exciting, and the story's overall feel was brilliant. I highly recommend this solid 5-star novel!

Matt was an honest Special Agent, who fell a victim to power play and politics. This cost him his career with the United States security outfits, and he was banned from working in the country. Hence, Matt was hired to protect some dignitaries on a luxury yacht. The yacht was attacked, and the attempts on his life never stopped. First, his aunt was killed; next, his enemies seemed to know all his moves, and then his beloved stepsister was beaten to the point of death. Matt was out for blood, but where will he look? Sam, his best friend and partner who became resentful? Claire, his Special Agent ex-girlfriend cum housemate and handler? Or Richard, his long-lost brother who had a score to settle? Find out in The Export’s Revenge by J.K. Kelly.

The Export’s Revenge by J.K. Kelly is a crime novel that will appeal to lovers of action. It is fast-paced and exposes the intersection between politics and law enforcement. The area of overlap between these two is power, and those on both sides of the divide will do anything to get ahead and grasp it. The upright people caught in the madness become threats or pawns in this game, making them dispensable either way. I enjoyed the plot of this novel, which had depth, was unique, and unpredictable. The development was superb and the characters realistic. I loved the multifaceted nature of Matt and the wit of Wes. There has to be more for Francesca and her confusing attitude at the meetup. This is a beautiful book, and I’d love to read more of Kelly’s work.

The Export's Revenge by J.K. Kelly is a gripping thriller with an international setting, taking readers across countries from the Gulf of Thailand to the Vatican Museum, from London to Peru, and to the White House. Matt Christopher is working far from home, providing security on a luxury yacht floating quietly in the Gulf of Thailand when he has to deal with a plot from someone he thought was his closest friend. It is not long before his handler calls him to say his sister has been brutally attacked in Italy and left to die. Now he must find the person behind the attack and carry out his revenge. With the help of Francesca, a well-trained Italian Special Forces agent, Matt follows a dangerous trail to execute revenge, a path that takes him through betrayal and unexpected twists.

J.K. Kelly plots with style and writes settings that are colorful and make it easy for readers to imagine the places where the action is taking place. The writing in itself is superb, littered with vivid descriptions of scenes and elements of the setting and well-crafted dialogues. The protagonist is a well-developed character and I enjoyed how the author brings characters from his past into his current mission. His relationships with other characters, especially Francesca, are brilliantly written. The Export's Revenge is a novel for readers who enjoy stories packed with action and characters they cannot easily forget. The characters are multi-dimensional and some of them are completely different from what they look like at first, and this increases the complexity in both plot and characterization. The story is suspenseful; an absolutely thrilling yarn that I couldn’t put down.
