Author Biography

Jason Silverberg’s interest in financial planning began at the ripe age of 13. For his Bar-Mitzvah, Jason received some gift money that his parents encouraged him to invest in the stock market. His portfolio doubled in 4 short years, at which time he used to buy his first car.

Jason graduated from the University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business in 2005 and began his career shortly after. His practice has grown and evolved and now provides fee-based financial planning to his clients. He helps individuals, families, and small business owners to create new financial visions, opportunities, and futures, while overcoming obstacles that may hinder success.

Jason takes a values-based approach, which allows him to connect with his clients on a deeper level than some advisors, diving into the why behind the numbers. He focuses on helping clients achieve and protect their goals through methodical investment strategies, calculated risk management, and insurance solutions.

In 2017, Jason released his book, The Financial Planning Puzzle. The book serves as a framework for helping people take ownership of their financial lives.

Jason presents a seminar series to further the message of the book. He appeared on ABC's The Savvy Investor Show and is a regular financial speaker at the United States Patent & Trademark Office.

In his free time, Jason enjoys running in competitive races. He completed the Frederick Marathon in 2010 and participates annually in the Kentlands/Lakelands 5K. He lives in Gaithersburg, MD with his wife, Lindsay, and his children, Joshua and Rebecca.
