The Food Dare by Lindsey Banks gives us an informative look at how to change your life and eating habits. This is a comprehensive guide with dares each day to help you change your eating and lifestyle habits. One of the essential things that she explained is to drink more water, especially upon waking. Our bodies need this to cope with the day to day stresses our body goes through; water helps balance our body, helps hydrate us and makes us feel well. The food dare gives you a diary type of feel to the book, filling in what you have done and how you feel. Each day there is a "dare", a small task to help you change your eating habits. Whether it's drinking more water, eating more fruit and veg a day, or not eating the junk we usually stuff into our mouths. This, in turn, gently changes us for the better! An excellent solution for a healthy and happier life.

The Food Dare by Lindsey Banks is a wonderful, informative aid to changing your life for the better. She cleverly gives you a daily task to complete, which in turn does not feel like a mammoth chore. What this does is change your habits bit by bit, giving you a whole new outlook on life. An extremely well written and researched book, with the ability to give advice without being monotonous, which would make us stop reading and give up. "Think about why you want to create a healthy lifestyle and hold onto that thought." This quote is a perfect solution to put us on the road to healthy eating and a better lifestyle.


Backed by science and research, you can take what you read in the book at face value and trust that it is sound, reliable information. With so many books and ideas on food these days, its nice to come across a book that isn’t about gimmicks or tricks. Its simply about “whole”, foods, nutrition and health. But don’t get me wrong, its not so technical and “sciency” that you feel overwhelmed or burdened to understand it all. It’s facts and science presented simply. The Food Dare makes nutrition simple and takes you back to the basics.


Lindsey’s book, The Food Dare, provides a great template for those looking to change their life in a healthy way. The 30-day challenge or “dare” includes steps each day on how to become healthier through small diet changes. I love her emphasis on the nutrient-dense foods that will be added to one’s diet over the next 30 days, rather than what’s being taken away for increased energy and optimal health. This book is a great tool for anyone looking to transform their lives in a healthy way with realistic action steps and accountability throughout the process!


I am so excited to have this book in my Arsenal! Lindsey has provided a real life solution to getting healthy and it is totally doable! I won't go so far as to say it is "easy" but doing anything at all 1 day at a time makes a world of difference. There are no false promises in this book, just a way to add in healthy habits one day at a time, that will add up to big changes!


Very simply written book by design. Its purpose is to help the reader make positive lifestyle changes over a 30 day set of "dares". It is not one of those gimmick style products that rely on pyramid tactics in order to maintain readership and successful results. Coupled with its online program will work mutually to keep the reader motivated and active toward achieving all of their "dares".


What I loved most about The Food Dare is it's not about making unsustainable sweeping changes to your life but about making small changes every day that will lead to a big impact!


This is a great help to those looking to make a small step everyday to help them along the path to a healthier lifestyle. Each day builds on the past to create life long healthier habits.


What I really enjoy about this book is how easy it makes it to make small changes. If you just do it for a while you can do it for forever. I added more water to my diet than I already did and it truly made a change. Great book. Great positive writing. Love it.
