The Funny Robbers is a humorous contemporary fiction novel written by Brian Evans and Dan O'Leary. Talent Manager Carl Shapiro has a plan for getting four of his comedy talents working again. They've been resting on their laurels and soaking up the celebrity limelight for far too long. While they would probably have to admit to themselves that they haven't really been trying as hard as they had before they became successful, Carrot Top and the other three comedians are not at all thrilled by Carl's idea. He's booked them for thirty comedy clubs across the country on a thirty-day tour. They'll be traveling in an older tour bus driven by Carl's son, Carter, who'll also function as their gopher and general assistant. Carl sees this as an opportunity for them to get some badly needed national exposure, even if playing out-of-the-way comedy clubs does seem a strange way of going about it. What none of them realize going in is that the improbable road show from hell would become an unforgettable experience.

Brian Evans and Dan O'Leary's humorous contemporary fiction novel, The Funny Robbers, is breezy, light-hearted and highly entertaining. I quickly became absorbed in the story of these comics who found themselves, at least temporarily, back on the comedy club circuit they had escaped long ago. The authors' story is fast-paced, well-plotted and incorporates elements of suspense along with the non-stop zaniness and repartee one would expect in a road trip story featuring four comedians. The characters are well-developed, and the dialog in this story is exceptionally well-written, realistic and flowing. The Funny Robbers is a marvelous comedic romp, and it's most highly recommended.
