The Goddess Particle by Brandy Gaye is a paranormal romance and a gripping tale of what happens when two powerful persons join forces to hunt down monsters. Mandy Heart and Swithin Hook are agents whose job it is to hunt down every monster. When Swithin invites Mandy to be part of his monster hunting team, he doesn’t know that the woman has extraordinary gifts, gifts that are coveted by a dangerous witch who will do anything to get to her. Besides working on their relationship, Swithin has to protect Mandy from a lot, and worst of all, he must protect her from herself. Question is: for how long can they keep up, because the odds are stacked against them?

I am not a fan of the paranormal genre, but this one got me wholly invested and enthralled. First off, I’d like to note that Brandy Gaye writes in a beautiful way and with a unique style and voice. The characters are so well-sculpted they will have readers interested in their joys and triumphs, and following them through the surprising route of their manifold struggles and challenges. Apart from making the characters believable and interesting, Gaye creates the kind of conflict that propels the plot forward. Yes, the pace is fast, faster than one would imagine, and the surprises are stacked up so readers keep on turning the pages. Mandy is a very complex character, but what will be exciting to some readers is how Swithin handles her. The Goddess Particle is a very entertaining read with a lot in store for readers.
