In The Hope of the South: An SPU Adventure by Bruce Thomas, a terrorist attack is lurking behind the scenes and it can occur at any moment. With such a threat ready to spring into action so unexpectedly, the Special Project Unit (SPU) is tasked with finding out who is behind this and what do they want. This special unit needs to work against time and try to outsmart whoever it is. This is where Officer Vector and Director Wild Bill come in. They must put their heads together to find out what the terrorists want and bring an end to their reign before it is too late.

The Hope of the South: An SPU Adventure by Bruce Thomas is a military thriller that had my heart racing. Very well constructed and developed, this story kept my interest from the beginning and had me on the edge of my seat until the end. The pace was fast and the story was action-packed. The development was intense, the imagery was very vivid and the descriptions were enough to make me feel as if all of it was real. I enjoyed the suspense and the mystery; it kept the momentum from page to page and had me reading on to find out what would happen next. Wild Bill and Vector made a great team; they listened to each other, they had each other’s backs and they valued each other’s opinion. They were a team that worked together in synergy. It was refreshing to have a male/male crime-fighting duo rather than the obvious choice. Regardless to say, I loved it! Entertaining and amazingly well-written.
