The Incredible State of Absolute Nothingness: A Personal Account of Spiritual Enlightenment is a first hand account of one man's experiences with spiritual matters in finding and exploring man's non dual nature. Stephen D'Amico explains the many fantastic journeys into the spiritual realm of enlightenment and discovery of The Higher Self. He chronicles his life from early childhood, when he had memories and an awareness of connecting to his dimensionless self every night before he went to sleep, to when he took time off from college for his quest of self actualization working in the forests of Canada, in group programs for conflict resolution, his work as a teacher, and finally, his pursuit to spread the word about a spiritual awakening that is happening in this world.

Author and spiritualist Stephen D'Amico pens his life story and journey with compelling and very interesting information about the nature of his spiritual experiences. It deeply fascinated me to read the many details about his experiences throughout life. D'Amico was able to help shed a little light on the very complex nature of spirituality and enlightenment. Even though I was confused some of the time, he was able to weave his (some say supernatural) experiences in a way that, as a newbie in the spiritual realm, I was able to understand, especially about the history and leaders in spirituality. This is not a book meant for light reading, but a slow perusal that got me thinking deeper than I usually do while reading. I highly recommend this book for anyone going through a dark night of the soul or anyone trying to understand their role in the world a little better.
