H. L. Wampler is a mom, wife, blogger, and now, an author. She lives in Pittsburgh, Pa with her family and absolutely loves the city. Which is why she bases her stories there.

She became serious about writing about 4 years ago, and after a few failed attempts, she took the big leap off the deep end and published the first in her Last Grimm series, Reds Hood.

"The Last Grimm: Red’s Hood" is a creative new adaptation of "Grimm’s Fairy Tales". Abigail Grimm is an 18-year-old college freshman with an exciting new internship within the world of fashion. Raised by her emotionally distant mother, Elaine, “Abs” is not at all prepared to learn of her destiny. As the last surviving descendant of the original Grimm Brothers, she is thrust into the world where fairy tales are real, and they are coming for her. In discovering her future, she also learns of her past. The father she believed to have deserted her mother upon learning of her pregnancy was in reality a warrior and the only person with the ability to keep peace between Abigail’s world and the world of Fairy Tales. Abandoning his family was the only way to keep them safe and now Abigail, as the last Grimm, must quickly take her rightful place as the guardian. Her co-worker, Connor, seems to be her only ally but even he appears a little too good to be true. Time is running out and as she is hunted by the Big Bad Wolf, on orders from the Evil Queen, Abigail and her handsome partner, Connor, must find a way to send the Big Bad Wolf back to the land of Fairy Tales.

This book is a creative new look at "Grimm’s Fairy Tales". It begins a little slowly but I was soon engulfed in the story of Red’s Hood. I have to admit that I was a little confused as to the genre of this book because it seems to be written for young adults but the material is a bit too mature. Overall, the story line is great and I could not put it down. I simply cannot wait to read the sequel!
