Author Biography

I've been writing
Since 1990
I got my first computer in 1990, and aside from wanting to play games, I found myself wanting to write a story.
My mother used to fall asleep watching TV. When she woke, she would ask us about movie titles that didn’t exist.

In her honour, I started my first story based on one of those fictitious titles. Thirty years later, this morphed into my first novel: The Martial Art.

Experience teaches wisdom.
My childhood was, in a word, happy. I had loving parents that provided for me in the best ways possible. While I never wanted for anything, I didn’t get everything I wanted. They taught me, discipline, restraint and respect for authority. Lessons which guide me still. During my lifetime, I have had many friends that were less fortunate than myself; not just financially, but also, lacking in the most basic of necessities; love. Love from family; parents and siblings. I felt a need to share with them, all that I had; which was more than enough for me. In doing so, I found that, their view of the world changed, and opened up the possibilities of what life could be. That was my inspiration for completing my first novel. If through my writing, I could do that for someone else, then it would have been worth it.

My fervent hope, is that you enjoy this and future works as much as I enjoy creating them for you.

Peace.

The Martial Art: An Adam Emerson Novel is an action-packed thriller by Dane Andrew. Adam Emerson arrives back in New York after spending years abroad learning martial arts, only to find that his beloved Aunt Elaine has been murdered. It turns out Elaine became the victim of a billionaire's conspiracy to profit by billions of dollars during a global pandemic that seemingly has no cure. To uncover the truth, Adam seeks help from an old friend named Patrick, a powerful man who possesses the resources to help him. Meanwhile, assassination attempts are being directed against Adam and his friends by people working in the shadows. With the DEA and other law enforcement agencies involved, Adam and a group of mercenaries must infiltrate a heavily guarded mansion that might hold the secret to saving millions of lives.

A wild ride full of action and nail-biting thrills, The Martial Art is a crime thriller you don't want to miss out on. Dane Andrew doesn't waste much time and puts the reader in the thick of things from the start. With a fast-paced narrative style and a plot that goes through multiple twists and turns, you find yourself glued to the pages from start to finish. Each character has a distinct voice and persona, and their inner motives and actions are always understandable. Adam is the perfect action hero who isn't afraid to put his life on the line for those he cares about. I had a blast reading the book and recommend it to readers who love action-oriented crime thrillers.
