Author Biography

Brian O'Hare, MA, Ph.D., is a retired assistant director of a large regional college of further and higher education. He is married, has three children, ten grandchildren, one great grandchild. He plays golf three times a week off a ten handicap and does a lot of voluntary work. Any writing he has previously done was academic...very much restricted to a specific readership. Several articles in educational journals were followed by a number of book-length reports for the Dept. of Education (N.I) and the University of Ulster.
He had a liver disease since childhood which resulted in his taking early retirement a number of years ago. In 2002 he had a liver transplant but is strong and healthy now. He continued to do academic writing well into his retirement, e.g., book-length study for The University of Ulster/YouthAid: The Excluded Adolescent (pub. U.U., 2004) and followed that with a memoir about his liver transplant, dealing with the physical, emotional and spiritual experiences that came from that period in his life (A Spiritual Odyssey, published by Columba Press, Dublin, 2005. Also published on Kindle, December 2013.).
He has also written a couple of fiction novels (Fallen Men, a story of three priests and The Doom Murders, a detective story set in Belfast). These are currently published on Amazon Kindle Books and are due to be published in paperback soon by Crimson Cloak Publishers. Fallen Men, early in 2013, has won an Amazon IDB award. The Doom Murders has also won the IDB award in 2014, and was second in the mystery category in the New Apple 2014 Excellence in Literature awards. The Miracle Ship, (non-fiction) published on Kindle in December 2013, is his latest book, currently published by Crimson Cloak Publishing in both paperback and ebook formats. Brian O’Hare’s latest work in progress is a sequel to The Doom Murders and is called The 11:05 Murders. All of O’Hare’s books are to be published soon by Crimson Cloak Publishers.

The Miracle Ship: The Extraordinary Story of a Modern-day Disciple by Brian O'Hare is the story of John Gillespie, his personal story and his extraordinary healings that speak for themselves. This book has some incredible stories bordering on miracles, and it is a book that can change one's life and take them on a path of faith and God's power. The messages shared by John are profound, insightful and inspirational. The book exposes the power of Satan and also teaches readers how to pray positively so that all their prayers are answered. It's definitely a book for those who are going through low phases in their lives.

The story is about John who heals himself first and then begins healing others. His courage and determination are motivational. The book is packed with Christian beliefs, but all the lessons that the author tries to teach readers are humbling and can be incorporated into one's daily life. The book also increases the faith one has in the Lord and His power and strength. The author reiterates the power of God through the story of John Gillespie and his miracles.

John's heartwarming story will touch the hearts of readers on many levels. The information about prayer, scriptures and real life experiences are all learning tools for readers to change their perspectives on life and living. The author also speaks about exorcism and demonic possession and its adverse effects that manifest as calamities and illnesses many times. An uplifting book that is inspiring to readers.
