The Mystic Swords of Love and Innocence: Reclaim Your Magnificence by Elizabeth Upton is a wonderful, honest, and inspirational book about love and innocence. In it, with great candor, Elizabeth Upton dismisses the idea that once we turn into adults, we lose our innocence or our ability to love in the purest form. At only sixteen, Elizabeth left her sister, grandmother, and mother to serve God as a nun. Now she shares with us all the monastic wisdom she has acquired during those two decades of her life in the convent and the valuable experiences and lessons she learned from the fruitful work she did as a counselor. In this book, Elizabeth uses symbols and explains the importance of veils, swords, kingdoms, wise elders, healers, priests and priestesses, chalices, and the Holy Cross in our lives that help us live worthy lives.
The Mystic Swords of Love and Innocence by Elizabeth Upton is an empowering guide that encourages readers to develop a healthy mindset about themselves and the world around them. It certainly has the potential of changing the way we look at life. I loved this book because of its simplicity and powerful symbolism, especially of the Veils of Limitation and Abundance and the Sword of Separation. I loved reading Elizabeth's insight, advice, and down-to-earth approach to self-improvement. What stayed with me the most was the message that love and innocence are not just for the young, and I agree with that. This inspirational book is also an invitation to build a strong bridge that we can cross to learn from our elders, their life experiences, wisdom, and priceless common sense. I highly recommend it.
