I took my time reading The Pursuit: Citizens of Logan Pond Book 3 by Rebecca Belliston because I was intrigued by the story, especially by the intense drama. The story follows Carrie Ashworth. She swore to protect her siblings and find the safest place for them when her country was destroyed and divided. Now her clan and she are illegal, but she is ready for some peace and happiness and she knows she will find it with Greg Pierce, the love of her life. Together they are ready for some love and affection from each other, but destiny has other plans for them.

Greg too wants a simple life with Carrie, but when they find out that their protector and their friend, Oliver, is missing, they know their time is up. Now the whole clan may have to leave Logan Pond and no one could do anything about it. It is now up to Carrie and Greg to find a hope for their future and a plan to save their people. Only they can help everyone from a very dangerous and deranged man. Can they do it? Can they protect their people, their friends and family? Or is this the end?

This brilliant and amazing book was definitely intense and full of suspense. It had everything; I was hooked from the very beginning. I could not put it down. I had to slow myself down because I wanted to understand everything and not miss anything. I loved Carrie and her resolve; I loved Greg’s passion to find a simpler life. I enjoyed their friendship and the way they understood each other. This is definitely one of the great novels I have read this year. It makes my top 10. Bonus points for cover work.

The Pursuit by Rebecca Belliston is a beautiful conclusion to the Citizens of Logan Pond series, a story that will most definitely delight fans of thrillers, intrigue, and crime fiction. It features a very compelling plot with characters that are well developed and carefully cast against an interesting political setting. In a dire and tumultuous political atmosphere, Carrie and Greg Pierce have to make choices that allow them to not get too involved in the political crisis affecting their country. Carrie only wants one thing: to be a parent to her siblings and do what her parents weren’t able to do for them. But in an unstable political climate, one can never be so sure of anything. So when they learn that Patrolman Oliver, who happens to be their friend, is missing, they know someone would be coming for them, too. Can Logan Pond be the safe haven they’ve thought it would be?

The Pursuit is a very gripping story with many twists and surprises, and the reader never knows which way the story will go. The conflict is huge and the idea of a government spread virus is a good one in a story where there is a lot of repression. The writing leaps off the pages with elegance and I enjoyed the powerful descriptions and the plot-driven dialogue that characterize this story. Rebecca Belliston knows how to make readers wait, left in a state of nail biting suspense as she prepares them for an unpredictable turn in the plot. This is the kind of fast-paced story where you’ll turn the last page and still want to go back to the very start. An entertaining and highly satisfying read!

Book Three in the Citizens of Logan Pond series, The Pursuit is a compelling story of love, betrayal, and courage. Carrie has been one of the victims of the virus spread by her corrupt government. Now all she wants is a quiet life devoted to Greg and to the protection of her siblings, but things change the moment one of their friends disappears. Carrie and Greg could be heading down the same tragic road if they don’t act quickly. In a world where anyone can be a spy, Logan Pond may not be the safe place they’d thought it would be for them. Now they must run for their lives, but how far can they go and for how long?

The Pursuit took me by surprise, a stunning conclusion to a great and entertaining series. The reader is immediately introduced to a powerful political setting, characterized by a corrupt government and shady political maneuverings. Then there are the interesting characters like Carrie and Greg Pierce, two people who have to protect their love while trying to be safe from the repression of a government that would rather have them dead. It’s interesting to see how the characters develop throughout the story and there's no doubt that Rebecca Belliston has a great gift for plot and suspense. The writing is excellent and the author weaves her detailed descriptions into intense action that leaves the reader utterly breathless at its conclusion. I won’t hesitate to recommend this one for readers looking for a good book.
