In an earnest and well written memoir that details the crumbling of the facade of a perfect life, The Shaken Snow Globe: Finding Happiness Beyond My White Picket Fence by debut author Kristy Dominiak, readers will find a highly engaging account that many will be able to relate to. Follow the personal story of the author, Kristy, as her life falls apart. She had a perfect life, a doting husband, financial security, three lovely children, and a beautiful lake home with a white picket fence. At least, her life was perfect on the outside. On the inside, her life was anything but. Deeply unsatisfied, Kristy makes a devastating choice that leads her into a very dark period. But with the help of her loving family and her own personal inner strength, Kristy was able to change her life profoundly, and it is with that profound change that she finds true happiness.

I very much enjoyed The Shaken Show Globe. Author Kristy Dominiak has done a fabulous job in sharing her personal story in such a way that readers will be intensely engrossed in the book as well as being able to learn from the situations that she describes. Many readers will be able to relate to Kristy's story, and will hopefully see that redemption and a greater future are a possibility for them. Any reader who is looking for a great memoir, and perhaps especially women, should absolutely read this book. I highly recommend this book, and look forward to reading more from the very promising author, Kristy Dominiak, in the near future.
