These are...Healthy Snacks by Cintia Roman-Garbelotto is a colorful book which shows kids some healthy food options that they can eat in the mornings. They range from cereal, toast, fruit and fresh orange juice. The book encourages children to choose their own favorite healthy snacks. This way they can come up with their own ideas and choose what they want to eat rather than have food given to them that they don't really want. The choice is in their hands and it will make them eager to eat the food they have chosen. The book is told in rhyme, which is good for kids as they remember stories better this way. The illustrations show the healthy snacks with faces which are attractive to kids too.

Cintia Roman-Garbelotto has created an entertaining book for kids with These are...Healthy Snacks. Healthy eating is in the news a lot lately with more and more people becoming obese by eating all the wrong foods. The way to reduce the risk is to get kids to eat healthily from a young age. By encouraging them to choose healthy cereal over chocolate brands, fruit over sweets, and fruit juice over fizzy drinks, they will be less likely to overindulge in stuff that is bad for them, causing themselves problems later in life. Some of the foods listed, like the fruit and fruit juice, are high in sugar content, but are healthier than processed foods and sweets. I think that this book will do well on the market as an introduction to healthy eating and parents would be inclined to buy it.
